BELTON – Devita Gail Wood, 65, of Belton, died Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 11:50 p.m. at her residence. Born May 12, 1957, in Greenville, she worked for Long John Silvers and was a member of Christ of Calvary Baptist Church. Her passions were tending to her garden and spending time with her family (especially her grand and great-grandchildren). She loved to hide sweets in her snack drawer, but this was not a great secret from her grandchildren. She enjoyed camping and riding a trike during her camping days. She remained very active throughout her years and was a very devoted Christian. She was preceded in death by her parents, U.C. “Sonny” Powell and Florence Irene Powell.
Survivors include her husband, Donnie Wayne Wood; son, Jason Wood; daughter, Krista Wood; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
