Della Mae Price, 83, of Greenville passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023 at the Dawson Springs Health and Rehab Center in Dawson Springs, where she had been cared for over the past 7 years. Born May 10, 1940 in Muhlenberg County to Sherman and Maude Sweeney of Greenville. She was preceded in death by her parents Sherman and Maude Sweeney; her sisters Verna Newman and Margie Sweeney; her brother Mack Sweeney; her nephews Michael Sweeney, Gary Sweeney and Anthony Newman; her niece Kimberly Sweeney Wagers; and her great-niece Amy Shelton.
Survivors include er sister Effie Shelton now residing in Rockvale, Tenn.; her niece; and her nephews.
Due to the poor health of her last surviving family member, there will be no service or visitation. Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Her burial will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville.
