Deborah Sunshine Leach

GREENVILLE – Deborah Sunshine Leach, 70, of Greenville, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Riverside Healthcare and Rehab in Calhoun. Born December 21, 1954 in Henderson, to the late A.D. “Buz” and Vivian Burton.

Deborah graduated from Muhlenberg Central High School in 1973 and went on to attend college at Murray State and Western Kentucky Universities. Upon completion of her degree, she became an auditor for the State of Kentucky where she worked 26 years until her retirement in 2009. She was well known for her love of music, gardening, and cooking. She cared deeply for her family and loved to talk to them and debate on a wide variety of topics.

She is survived by her sisters Candy Harvey and Tamara Doffek, Niece – Tazia Jones, Nephews – Stephen Harvey, Joshua Morrow, Jonathan Harvey, Adam Harvey and Ryan Doffek as well as five great-nephews.

Private Memorial service will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com. In lieu of flowers: Donations may be made to Owensboro Symphony Orchestra or Prager U in her memory. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
