CENTRAL CITY- David Eugene Nelson, 81, of Central City died Friday, August 8, 2025 at Riverside Care and Rehabilitation Center in Calhoun. Born in Muhlenberg County November 8, 1943. He was a retired coal miner and a member of Trinity Pentecostal Church. He loved his church, fishing, playing guitar, and singing. Mr. Nelson is preceded in death by his wife, Effie Nelson; father, Vernon Nelson; mother, Helen Anderson; brother, Mike Armour; sister, Susan Simmons.
Survivors include his children, Charles (Mendy) Nelson, Jennifer Nelson; grandchildren, Brittany Randolph, Alexander Brett Nelson; four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Alan Harris officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
