CENTRAL CITY – Danny Dean Edwards, 74, of Central City, died Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 12:31 p.m. at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Born March 10, 1948 in Muhlenberg County, he attended the 7th Day Adventist Church. He was a retired Auto Mechanic and Deputy Jailer as well as a Vietnam Army Veteran. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, cutting grass, mechanic work, railroad work (during his early years), and traveling with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Floella Edwards; and two brothers, Donald Gene Edwards, and Bobby Lee Edwards.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Sherrod Edwards; daughters, Deanna (Christopher) Beasley, Tina (Barry) Johnson, and Melissa (Jonathon) Ward; grandchildren, Dustin Beasley, Brandon Beasley, Clinton Johnson, Elijah Johnson, Megan Ward, and Joshua Ward; brothers, Thomas Wayne Edwards, Eddie Joe Edwards, and Tony Gerald Edwards; sister, Glenda Sue Woodson, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Nick Holeman officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
