Greenville – Craig Schmidt, 63, of Greenville passed away, Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Born April 2, 1960 in Chicago, Ill., he previously attended Sharon Baptist Church in Greenville. He worked for the Tru-Kut Machine in Bremen, for approximately 19 years and Metal Works 360 Inc. in Greenville, KY for approximately 14 years, as a machinist. He served his Country proudly in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Walter Schmidt.
Survivors include, three sons Brandon Schmidt, Eric Schmidt and Dan Gust all of Powderly; one daughter Theresa Slaughter of Greenville; four grandchildren; mother Carol Schmidt Theodosis of Greenville; two brothers Don Schmidt of Washington State and Chris Theodosis of Cookeville, Tenn.; one sister, Debra Starr of Greenville; mother of his children Noreen T. Schmidt of Powderly; a special close friend John Snipes of Greenville; nieces, nephews, many cousins and close friends.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at the Bibbs Funeral Home Chapel, 109 Court Row in Greenville, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the Memorial Service. Rev. Robert C. Kendrick, Eulogist.
