Charles Winford “Charlie” Jones, 79, of Greenville, died Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. Born April 28, 1942 in Christian County the son of Anna Lois Carrol Jones. He was of the Baptist faith and he attended Mercer Baptist Church. He retired after over 30 years from SuperValu as a truck driver, and he was a farmer who loved John Deere tractors. He was preceded in death by his mother, his wife of 58 years Della Mae Wells Jones, two brothers Danny Jones and Lawrence Jones, a sister Dot Meacham, a son-in-law Trevor O’Neal, a grandson Trevon O’Neal, and a granddaughter Heather O’Neal.
Survivors include his daughters, Pam (Terry) Hardison of Lewisburg, Rhonda (Jason) Waid of Lewisburg and Teresa (Bryan) Hendrix of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Cherie Cornelius, Jordan Hendrix and Jaxon Hendrix; brothers, Wayne (Nina) Jones of Scottsville and Bobby Jones of Hopkinsville.
Graveside services were held Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Carneal Cemetery in Lewisburg, officiated by Rev. Bob Thurman assisted by Rev. Ron Noffsinger. Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville was in charge of arrangements.
