CENTRAL CITY- Charles Eulene “Tookie” Welborn, 85, of Central City died Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Twin Rivers Nursing Home in Owensboro. Born in Muhlenberg County June 27, 1940 to Irvin Wayne Welborn and Eula Alice Welborn. She was of the Baptist faith and loved her gospel music. She loved yard sales, bird watching, and animals; especially her neighborhood Kitty Cats. Ms. Welborn is preceded in death by her brothers, Irvin Welborn Jr., Alfred Welborn, James Harold Welborn; sisters, Blanche Williams, Rosalie Kinkade, Barbara Evitts, Margaret Wells.
Survivors include her brother, Wendell Welborn of Powderly; sister, Winnie Bruce of Powderly; three special nieces, Shaye (Randy) Adkins, Frances (Van) Chatham, Angela (Danny) Stovall.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairmount Cemetery in Central City with Bro. Leroy Rearden officiating. Tucker Funeral Home in Central City is in charge of arrangements.
