GREENVILLE – Charles Edward “Charlie” Brown, 72, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from an extended illness in Greenville Born November 3, 1950, in Lebanon, Tenn., he was a native of Smithville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Leon Brown, Jr. and Jean Murphy Brown of Smithville, Tenn.; brother David Brown, and stepsister Missy Klimas.
Survivors include two uncles; stepmother Jeanette Brown of The Woodlands, Texas; brother Jeff Brown of Gainesville, Ga.; stepsister Marcy York-Oznick of The Woodlands, Texas; son Bryon Brown of Atlanta, Ga.; stepdaughter Brandy Mathis of Greenville; sons Shane Johnson of Boaz, Ala. and Cory Garrard of Lawton, Okla.; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 6, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Cory Garrard officiating. Burial will follow in Nebo Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, November 6, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
