MOUNT JULIET, Tnn. – Charles Eddie Martin, 86, of Mount Juliet, Tenn., passed away peacefully Monday, March 31, 2025 at 12:05 a.m. at his residence. Born June 2, 1938, in Muhlenberg County, and graduated from Central City High School in 1956.
A man of strong values and deep commitment, Charles Eddie proudly served as an airman in the U.S. Navy, stationed in San Diego, Calif. He later worked as a shift engineer for the Tennessee Valley Authority and served as a deputy sheriff for Franklin-Simpson County. His dedication to community service led him to serve as president of the Rotary Club in Franklin, Ky.
Charles Eddie was a faithful member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Mount Juliet, where he found great joy in church activities and fellowship.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Ray Martin; his mother, Ruby Nell Martin; and his beloved daughter, Cynthia Ray Martin.
Survivors include his son, Scott Edward Martin; grandson, Jackson Edward Martin; sister, Gabby (Gay Nell) and her husband Rick Brewer of Jacksonville, Fla.; and his twin sisters, Linda Lowe and Brenda Edgar, also of Jacksonville, Fla..
Funeral services will be Friday, April 11, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Doug Thompson officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
