Central City – Carolyn Sue (Bjerkness) Freeman, 82, of Central City, Kentucky, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
Born in Gary, Ind. to Clarence and Martha Bjerkness. She retired from RB and W Nut and Bolt in Gary, Ind.. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Randy Freeman; son, Jeffery Hughes; and sisters Georgia Nedderman and Judy Hannigan.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Josh (Amanda) Hughes and Tiffany (Josh) Compos; four great grandchildren; sisters, Gail Dayhoff, Lindel Lonigro, Barbara (Bill) Reed, Penny (LeeRoy) Vick; and many nieces and nephews.
Carolyn Loved all of her family dearly. She had many friends at Sparks Rest Home.
