GREENVILLE – Carl Raymond Sparks, 80, of Greenville, died Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 8:05 p.m. at his residence. Born May 16, 1943, he was pastor at Pack Baptist Church in Rumsey, and a principal at Graham High School. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Sparks; sister, Norma Jean Sparks; and parents, Raymond and Marie Sparks.
Survivors include his children, Chris (Karen) Sparks and Lori (Terry) Waddell; grandchildren, Tyler Sparks, Megan Bowman, and Karsyn Waddell; sister, Helen (Jerry) Eades; brother, James (Cheryl) Sparks; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Jerry Eades officiating, assisted by Bro. Nathan Whisnat.
