CENTRAL CITY – Carl Edward Brown, 85, of Central City, died Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 5:20PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Mr. Brown was born May 11, 1941 in Berkley, WV. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and worked as an Independent Contractor. He was a member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Harlan Brown; mother, Lillian Brown; sisters, Anna Jean Randall, Betty Jo Sallee, Mildred Stirsman, Shirley Batsel, Geraldine Doss, and Margaret Robinson; and brother, J.W. Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lile Girten; grandchildren, Sammi Beth (Edward) Elias, Kyle (Ashley) Keating, Andria Keating, and Jacob Snodgrass; sister, Phyllis Noffsinger; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 12PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Father John Ighacho officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10AM-12PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com
