GREENVILLE – C. Douglas Edwards passed away July 5, 2025. Preceded in death by beloved wife of 52 years, Mary Suzanne (Sanders); wife of 19 years, Sharon (Leonard) Edwards; grandson, Douglas E. Everly; and nine siblings.
Survivors include his daughter, Deborah Bulczak; step-children Lisa (Mugford) Dennison, Scott Mugford; three great-grandchildren: Douglas A. Everly, Lilly G. Everly, Gunnar Everly; sister Marion (Edwards) Vincent; and sister-in-law Molly Sanders.
After retiring from work of 30 years, in the city of Chicago, Ill., he returned to his homeplace of Powderly. He served his community as the Chief of Police and school bus driver for the Muhlenberg Co. Board of Education for 10 years.
Mr. C. Douglas Edwards was an honorable man that gave his all to his country (Korean War), family, and community. He was loved and respected by everyone that was blessed to be a part of his life. He leaves behind many that will greatly miss him, but will forever remain in their hearts.
