Bobby Joe “Bud” Miller

Bobby Joe “Bud” Miller, 81, of Greenville, died Monday, May 8, 2023 at his residence. Born September 10, 1941 in Muhlenberg County, the son of Andrew Jackson Miller and Ruthie Ann Howell Miller.  He was a member of Carter Creek Baptist Church, was a Shriner and a member of Pond River Lodge #244.  He had worked for TVA as a pipe fitter. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Doris Miller, and three sisters Flora Belle McKinney, Carrie Bailey, and Sissy Milam.

Survivors include a son, Jeffery (Patsy) Miller of Knoxville, Tenn.; daughter, Teresa Lynn Anderson of Cincinnati, Ohio; special friend Janice Grace of Greenville, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Carter Creek Baptist Church in Greenville with Rev. John Day officiating. Burial with Masonic services will follow in Carter Creek Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Carter Creek Baptist Church. Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences to the family may be made at www.garysfuneralhome.net
