GREENVILLE – Billy Ray Kennedy, 82, of Greenville, died Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 8:40 a.m. under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Born September 27, 1940, in Muhlenberg County, he was self-employed with Kennedy Tree Service, and a member of Carter Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margie Kennedy; father, Buell Kennedy; son, Bruce Alan Kennedy; sister, Jewell Hardwick; and first wife, Anna Blake Kennedy.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Boria Kennedy; son, Keith Kennedy; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Roger Heltsley officiating. Burial will follow in Carter Creek Cemetery.
