BEAVER DAM – Billy Joe King, Sr., 76, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Born April 5, 1948, in Memphis, Tenn. to the late Elentrial King and Sally Kate Morgan King Arnold. Billy was a member of Oak Grove Church of God in Cromwell.
Aside from his parents Billy was preceded in death by four brothers, Ernest Ray King, Bobby King, Sr., Roger Dale Arnold, and Sammy King.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 37 years, Donna M. King of Beaver Dam; five children, Anglia (Donnie) Pentecost of Browder, Tina King Jarvis (Steve) of Owensboro, Tammy (Frank) Schmautz of Drakesboro, Billy Joe (Eugenia) King, Jr. of Greenville, and Cindy (Tony) Douglas of Browder; 13 grandchildren, Donnie (Kristen), Brittney (Joseph), Jordan (Azucena), Stephaine (Jerry), Anthony (Kayla), Kelsie, Tricia (Aaron), Brandi, Kaydie (Zack), Kayson, Bailey, Elizabeth, and Holly; several great grandchildren; sister, Gennie Tapp of Bald knob, Ark.; brother, Jimmy (Regina) Arnold of Central City; sister-in-law, Pam King of Columbia, Ky.; uncle, James E. (Myong) King of Columbia, Ky., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, October7, 2024 at Oak Grove Church of God with Rev. Steve Leach officiating. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery.
