POWDERLY—Billy Arthur Keplinger, 79, of Powderly, died Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Maple Manor Health Care Center in Greenville. Born September 22, 1941 in Covington, the son of Clarence Edward Keplinger and Sara Rickard Keplinger. He was a member of Church Street General Baptist Church in Bremen. He enjoyed singing, playing and coaching softball, and watching UK basketball on TV. Most important to him were his faith and his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Ramonda Brigance.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Brenda Gale Dukes Keplinger of Powderly; daughters, Tabatha (Mike) Decker of Greenville and Rachel (Brent) Hussung of Floyds Knobs, Ind.; grandchildren, Jacob Crawford, Ralph Crawford, Bayleigh Chaney, Bailey Hussung, Jackson Hussung, Abby Ellis and Casidee Ellis; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 18 at 3:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, with Rev. Mike Dukes officiating. Burial followed in Carter Creek Cemetery in Greenville. Online condolences to the family may be made at www.garysfuneralhome.net
