CENTRAL CITY – Betty Pearl Travis, 84, of Central City, died Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 7:15 p.m. at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Born August 23, 1938 in Athens, Ala., she was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Joe Johnson; husband, Clifford Travis; step-son, Ricky Travis; parents, James, and Ruby Johnson; and brother, Jr. Johnson.
Survivors include her sons, Robert McCravy and Glen Travis, both of Central City; step-daughters, Joanna Pointer, Janet Holpp, Barbara Hobdy, Debbie Childers, and Karen Travis; step-sons, Tim O’Reilly, Matthew O’Reilly, Terry Travis, Johnny Travis; sister, Glenda Faye Dollar; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, January 23, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Joe Chambers officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
