BREMEN – Betty Lou Shanks, 80 of Bremen, died Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 9:17 a.m. at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Born May 28, 1942 in Muhlenberg County, she was a member of Powderly Holiness Church. She loved Jesus, her church, and her family. All these put a smile on her face. One of her favorite pastimes was cooking and sampling the sweets that she made. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Lisa Vincent, and Angie Hornsby; husband, Robert Will Shanks; mother, Lorene Gregory; and brother, Billy Gregory.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathy (Gary) Conder, and Jennifer (Harry) Hoeft; son, Robbie (Katrina) Shanks; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces, and nephews; and brother, Jerry Little.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Jerry Whitehouse officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
