SACRAMENTO – Betty June Shanks, 86, of Sacramento, died Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 9:24 p.m. at Maple Health and Rehab in Greenville. Born March 2, 1937, in Muhlenberg County, she was a factory worker at General Electric. She was preceded in death by her father, William Otis Rice; and mother, Frances Louise Gregory.
Survivors include her son, Allen Eugene Shanks of Sacramento; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Fairmount Cemetery in Central City, with Bro. Bill Skipworth officiating. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
