After graduating high school, Ben married the love of his life. He moved on to graduate from the University of Kentucky and took a job as an engineer at Motorola in Chicago, Ill..  One of his first projects was to work on one of the first handheld mobile phones.  From there, he went into business for himself to consult and, true to his character, help many small businesses grow and prosper.

Ben was a very caring and loving man who served his family and friends with selfless abandon.   He would drive hours to go to visit his kids and grandkids and attend countless ball games.  He was a “hands-on” man who sought to do excellence in everything he did.  In fact, he was a legendary handyman who was a perfectionist when it came to quality.   He worked on countless home projects for not only his and Carolyn’s homes but also his boys’ families’ homes.

Above all, Ben was a follower of Jesus Christ. He was a member of First Baptist Church Central City.  The godly influence this man provided his sons is reverberating in his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and beyond.  Heaven has received a good and faithful servant.  We are richer because of his example.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at First Baptist Church Central City at 114 N 3rd St at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Chase Thompson officiating. Doors will be open at 1:30 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Benjamin McKinley Wolfe Memorial Fund, c/o Tucker Funeral Home, P.O. Box 548, Central City, KY 42330, or you can donate online at www.tuckerfuneralhome.com.  Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
