POWDERLY – Barry Lynn Avers, 75, of Powderly, died Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born February 8, 1946. He was the owner of a furniture business, and was of the Baptist faith. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Lynn Avers; and his parents, Semour and Ernestine Avers.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Middleton Avers; daughter, Cynthia Avers Drake; one grandson; brother, Jay Cooper, and sister, Dianna Lineberry.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 31, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Dane Calloway officiating. Visitation will be Thursday after 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
