BREMEN – On August 2, 2025, Barbara Sue Moore Ford of Bremen entered into the presence of God after a valiant fight with Alzheimer’s. She was reunited in Heaven with many family members, including her parents, Hershel and Bertha Marvel Moore, to whom she was born on August 2, 1944, in Webster County, as well as brothers Rev. Jimmie Moore and Charles Moore. Though our hearts are broken, we know that she is rejoicing with her Savior, where there is no more sickness, pain, or sorrow. She fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7).
Barbara graduated from South Hopkins High School in 1962 and went to work at Mike’s Drive-In in Madisonville as a carhop. One night, a handsome young man named Harold rode up on his Harley and this was the start of a love that lasted a lifetime. They were married on October 18, 1963, at Gilland Ridge General Baptist Church in St. Charles.
She is survived by her loving husband, Harold Ford, daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Jorge Cuevas of Bremen, grandsons Daniel Haire of Bremen and Michael (Raquel) Haire of Auburndale, Florida. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren David and Elena Haire of Auburndale.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday August 5, 2025, at Barnett- Strother Funeral Home Madisonville Chapel with Pastors Glen Hobgood and Roy Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Gilland Ridge Cemetery in St. Charles, KY.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the service time Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Moore, Tyler Moore, Trey Moore, Steve Ford, Jeff Ford, and Michael Haire.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Kentucky for their care and support.
