CENTRAL CITY – Barbara Ann Boner, age 65, of Central City died Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born March 12, 1959 in Fairbury, Ill. and was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed Christmas celebrations together. Barbara made sure each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren had a gift on Christmas morning and loved watching them open their present. She was dedicated to her family and her door was always open and practiced unconditional love throughout her lifetime. She loved to paint, do crosswords and crafts and eating at Hwy 62 Diner. was preceded in death by husband, Larry Boner; parents, John “Buck” and Genavie Wheaton; and brothers, Donald Bennett, Walter Lane, and Kenneth Wheaton.
Survivors include her sons, John Montgomery, Larry Boner, Jr., Michael Montgomery, Joseph Montgomery, Justin Boner, Joseph Ray Boner, Jason Tiffany, Larry Keith Boner; daughter, Michelle Hall; sister, Georgiana Farmer; brothers, James Bennett and Johnny Jay Wheaton; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Bro. Christian France will officiate the service and burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
