GILLETTE, WY – Anthony “Tony” Truman Browning, 55, passed away on August 10, 2026. He was born on November 15, 1970, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, to Truman Browning and Diana Love. Tony spent his life working with his hands. He started out as an underground coal miner before dedicating himself to a lifelong career as an electrician. In 2004, he earned his Master Electrician’s License and started Browning Electric Company out of his own garage, building it from the ground up into a business he was deeply proud to call his own. On April 6, 1990, Tony married Joyce (Morphew) Browning, his partner for more than three decades.
Tony’s grandchildren were his life, and family time meant everything to him. When he wasn’t spending time with them, he could be found fishing and riding dirtbikes with his grandkids, or tinkering with his mustang with his daughter, or training his beloved dogs, Halle and Luca. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed gaming, and never stopped reading and learning something new. Those who knew him describe him as patient, kind, and always willing to lend a hand. He was a dreamer with big plans, always up for a good time, and a genuinely happy man who loved his family without reservation.
Tony is survived by his wife, Joyce Browning; stepson Bryan S. Miller of Pearl, MS; daughter Whitney Michelle Browning-Petersen (Brett) of Gillette, WY; brother Glen Browning of California; sister Ashley (Trevor) Smith of Hong Kong; nieces Rylee and Molly Smith of Hong Kong; nephew Connor Smith of Hong Kong; and grandchildren Katelyn Miller of Pearl, MS, and Bentley, Eviana, Jax, Brylee, and Asher Petersen of Gillette, WY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Truman Browning and Diana Love, and his grandparents, Ollie Bell and Earle Thomas Browning, and Fairy Louise and Will Howell Love.
