CENTRAL CITY – Alan Harold Adams, 86, of Central City died Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 10:20AM at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation in Greenville. Mr. Adams was born in Doylestown, PA on May 21, 1939. He retired as a Coal Miner from Peabody Coal Company’s Gibraltar Mine and was the co-owner of the Bible Book Mark. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of New Testament Christian Church where his son is the pastor. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Linda Sue Sharp Adams; son, Eric Alan Adams; parents, John Harold and Anna Louise Adams; in-laws, Clay and Pauline Sharp; and brother, Paul Adams.
He is survived by his sons, Scott (Jackie) Adams, Matt (Paula) Adams, and James (Tonya) Adams; grandchildren, Clayton (Caitlyn) Adams, Ashlyn Adams, Logan (Emma) Adams, Jeremiah Lucas Adams, Zachary Clay (Lauren) Adams, Jameson Lane Adams, and Julia S. Adams; and great-grandsons, Warren Adams, and Waylon Adams.
Funeral services will be Sunday, May 24, 2026 at 1PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Matt Adams officiating, assisted by Bro. Ricky Peterson. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
