GREENVILLE – Timothy Wyatt Staples, 52, of Greenville, went home to see his Heavenly father on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Born March 25, 1969. He was employed by General Electric for 26 years where he made many life-long friends. Tim was a member of New Paradise Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and youth director for 27 years.
Tim was a faithful and obedient Christian, husband, and father. Tim was married to the love of his life, Kim Warman Staples, for 29 years, and they were blessed with two wonderful children. Tim would always tell his daughter Hannah “Pretty is as pretty does” and instilled in his son Jonah, Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Tim taught his family, friends, and youth group to trust and put God first in their lives. One of his favorite verses that he instilled in his family is Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God.”
Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Staples; mother-in-law Bonnie Warman; and grandparents Willie C. (Edith) Tabb and Taft (Darolett) Staples.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Warman Staples; daughter Hannah (Michael) Walker; son Jonah Staples; father Bernie Staples; brother Josh (Tequia) Staples; father-in-law Tommy Warman; brother-in-law Kaleb Warman; and nieces Abbi and Kira Staples.
Celebration of life services will be Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville, with Bro. Tim Adcock officiating. Burial to follow.
