GREENVILLE – Sandra “Sandy” Faye Thompson Wilson, 70, of Greenville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 8:57 a.m. at her residence. Born October 23, 1953, in Louisville. She retired as a secretary for Social Services after working more than 25 years. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Greenville after moving closer to live near her daughter. Sandy loved Jesus, and she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Robert Wilson; parents, Robert and Frances Thompson; and seven siblings.
Survivors include her three daughters, Shannon (Matt) Reynolds, Alicia (Paul) Evans, and Melissa (Brian) Schindler; grandchildren, Noel Reynolds, Halle Reynolds, Isaac Evans, Ethan Evans, Rachel Evans, Caroline Schindler, and Michael Schindler; brothers, Freddie Joe (Bonnie) Thompson and Bernie Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 4, 2024, from 5-8 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Funeral services will be held at Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington, Ky. on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Andrew Rupard officiating. Burial in Bethel Cemetery in Breckenridge County. Visitation will be Monday, August 5, 2024, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Alexander Funeral Home.
